SERVICING OUR CLIENTS SINCE 2005
A barn full of blankets that arrived to our shop in June. Keeping dirty blankets piled up in the barn once the weather breaks provides a perfect nesting spot for mice! Oftentimes, the round holes to blanket liners are caused by mice

All items are returned to you in clear, vinyl zippered blanket bags and tagged with a safe & soft vinyl tag that you can use as an ID tag- writable with a Sharpie on the reverse side

Washing, Disinfecting, Deodorizing & Waterproofing Techniques
We encourage you to begin thinking about getting your horse's wardrobe cleaned and packaged for storage as soon as the warmer weather arrives in late March, April and May. Allowing soiled blankets to sit for weeks or months will allow the ammonias from the manure and the ground-in dirt to weaken the fibers of the blanket materials, thus making them more susceptible to tears, and compromising the durable water repellency of the fabric.

Keeping your animals healthy and happy during adverse weather conditions requires some work if you have made the choice to blanket them. However, we can lighten that load for you considerably with our pick up and delivery options, our thorough (and environmentally safe) washing, disinfecting, deodorizing and re-waterproofing techniques and EXPERT REPAIRS AND ALTERATIONS done on our industrial grade sewing machines.
No detergents should EVER be used on articles of horse clothing (if for no other reason than the chemicals, color dyes and fragrances contained may prove irritating to your equines' sensitive skin!) Only products approved by internationally known blanket manufacturers are used in our shop, including NIKWAX brand products - the global authority in waterproofing and safe washing products since 1977, and the ONLY waterproofing product free of ALL fluorocarbons.
All items are washed according to manufacturer's instructions. Not all blankets require cold water wash - but any containing cotton or wool must always be washed in cold water to reduce the chance of shrinkage. You can be assured that your blanket's care label will be read and that those instructions will be followed to the letter! This also means that all items are line dried outside (preferably) or inside in a climate-controlled environment.
